Australia, India and Asia-Capability

Although many in Australia point to the rapidly multiplying opportunities in Asia, the success of our engagement in the region is not necessarily assured.

These opportunities – crossing the arts, health, education, government and business – are increasingly competitive, with Australia duelling with other countries, for example, Germany, the US, the UK, for attention in the region.

Australia’s Asia-capability will be central to assuring that Australians can effectively engage with our region’s diverse cultures and communities, including with India.

In this presentation, Asialink CEO, Jenny McGregor, and Asialink Associate Director, Julia Fraser, will discuss the challenges and opportunities of building Australia’s Asia-capability, as well as Asialink’s experience in enabling Australians to effectively engage with India.

A light lunch is provided from 12.45PM.

Venue: Australia India Institute Seminar Room - 147/149 Barry Street Carlton VIC 3053
